What is Critical Inquiry?

I know that the concept of critical inquiry is not really mainstream, so I thought I would spend a bit of time writing about what it is I mean when I say that I like to coach using critical inquiry as a guidepost. Critical inquiry is a process...Together, we will evaluate what you tell me and look at it from a different perspective, we will set goals and weed out those assumptions you may be carrying around with you. Using reason to analyze, we will ask questions, generate new ideas, and apply them to your redesigned life.

Critical inquiry relies on us having an open dialogue about your thoughts in an effort to uncover where there might be some irrational thinking, misunderstandings, or just opening up yourself to a different way of looking at an issue.

Together, we focus on a well-reasoned analysis in order to decide how to best to redesign your life!

I am a big believer that if we focus on philosophical principles, like asking questions and working to understand what we know with certainty and what we may only believe to be true. It is our goal to uncover the misconceptions, preconceived notions, and fear that might be holding you back.

MY NAME IS...
Colleen Mallory

Since I began studying philosophy in the 80s, I have been intent on trying to figure out how to live a good life and so is everyone else...As I woman, I am particularly interested in the female perspective and how we navigate through life.  I help moms with older children find a new purpose and reclaim their identity using philosophical coaching techniques, which are rooted in critical inquiry and rational thought.
